People often become dependent on the roles that they play to stay in state. They need social feedback – be it from girls or their friends – to feel like they’re the person who they want to be. That is what a sense of entitlement that comes from playing a role is all about – feeling that the social environment is placing you in a high-value role, and feeling confident as a result.
